The Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP) Ambassadors Chorale Arts Society was born in 1957 as a male chorus under the American missionary to the Philippines, Elton Wallace. The group became a mixed chorus under the directorship of Professor Minerva Arit-Penaranda, and has been to this date the official choral group of the Adventist University of the Philippines.
The AUP Ambassadors has been one of the most active choirs in the Philippine music setting, performing at major venues all throughout the Philippines and outside the country including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Thailand and major cities in the US and Canada. The group often performs on PTV 4's Concert at the Park Series, numerous Cultural Center of the Philippines productions and the San Agustin Museum International Music Festivals. Its credits include: Handel's Messiah and John Rutter's Gloria and Magnificat for the San Agustin Museum International Music Festivals, Beethoven's Ninth Symphony for the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO) Concert Series and Mozart's Requiem when they were chosen as the choir to represent the Philippines in the internationally simultaneous commemorative performance of the 9-11 New York tragedy, all of which were major collaborations with the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Italian conductor Ruggiero Barbieri.

This group was formed officially on February 1976 with its seven members (3 boys and 4 girls)... fortunately, these young people had a common love for singing, several months later they started recruiting additional dedicated and talented singers, hence the group - Agape Singers was formed.

Foremost among its vision and objective is simply to serve, honor, glorify and praise God. The Agape singers is a self-supporting musical group. Its rich collections of songs have brought its members to numerous places, they have reached a wide spectrum of audiences and have performed in diverse places - from barangay halls to town plazas, from the hospitals to the houses of sick brethren, from small churches in different provinces to big churches in Metro Manila, small and big gatherings, religious concerts, chapel periods, music week celebrations, weddings, school programs and concert halls.

Another important goal of this group is to make the community aware of the Adventist Church, not only through their musical activities but also through reaching out and ministering to our less fortunate brethren.

One of the greatest achievements of the group is that they have been able to contribute in the renovation and building of Adventist schools in some provinces. Humble deeds and generous activities such as these have been Agape's way of witnessing.

Currently, the group is composed of 20 regular members and 4 sit-ins and is under the directorship of Mr. Charlie P. Acebedo. It is composed of mixed professionals and students who have common love for singing as well as serving for the Lord. The group continuously strives to improve its music as well as continuously endeavors to keep their musical ministry attuned to the service and Godly praise.

The Intervoices Chorale is one of the recognized singing groups of the Seventh-day Adventist Church based in Imelda Seventh-day Adventist Church, Caloocan City.

Biography

The Intervoices Chorale is a singing group composed of students and professionals from the different parts of Metro Manila, with diverse musical backgrounds and abilities, united in their passion to sing as one for God's glory.

Years Back...

The Intervoices Chorale started as a small group in April of 2007, mostly composed of former Musikapelle members. Since then, the group has set forth a mission to spread the Seventh-day Adventist faith and Good News of Christ's soon return through choral music. The group has been actively serving Seventh-day Adventist churches all over Luzon, notably, having regular singing engagements in PPH SDA Church, Baesa SDA Church, and Imelda SDA Church. Apart from SDA churches, the group has visited Correctional Institutes, Hospitals, Depressed Areas, etc., to spread their music and the Word of God.
