Music. It’s one feature of our church and worship, which is oftentimes overrated. “How will I produce music? What do I need to sing inside the church? Which songs are preferred during the Divine Hour of Worship?”

These above questions were answered clearly during the first CLC-wide Music Ministers’ Convention themed “Music for His Glory” at Mountain Provinces Mission, Baguio City last June 27-29, 2014.

Spearheaded by CLC Music Ministries Coordinator Mrs. Josie Felda Calera, this timely seminar is urgently necessary for the emerging music issues inside the church and during worship services. Invited speakers were Mrs. Norlin Cadapan, North Philippine Union Conference (NPUC) Music Ministries Coordinator; Ms. Rose Anacleto, Music Director, Hope TV Luzon; Mrs. Joyosthie Orbe, Instructor, AUP; Professor Dante Oblimar, Music Committee Chairman, AUP; Pastor Jose Orbe, Jr., NPUC Communication Director; and Pastor Romeo Mangiliman, CLC President.

Healthy lectures and discussions were fed during the Sabbath worship. An open forum on topics concerning music inside the church was also tackled. Delegates were challenged to re-echo these messages as they were summoned to share these truths to their respective churches.

To know more about Adventist Music Guidelines, you can talk to your Music Ministries leaders for materials and information.
